Performing artist choreographer-director-producer Prabhu Deva, who has been in the business now for near 30 years, is at long last attempting a negative part in a forthcoming Tamil film titled as Mercury.
Prabhu Deva, who began off in the late eighties as a ‘item dance’ expert, later graduated to assuming lead parts and featured in a lot of Tamil movies for over 10 years before foraying into Tollywood and later to Bollywood where he directed and produced numerous blockbuster films, some of which are a piece of the lofty Rs.100-crore club in showy accumulations.
He enjoyed a reprieve from influencing films and featured in a year ago’s Tamil-Telugu-Hindi hit to film Devy while delivering it. By trying the hero in the film, he came back to acting after over 10 years. The shoot of his next movie Kulebakavali inverse Hansika (he was the director of Hansika’s introduction Tamil film Engeyum Kadhal a couple of years back) has recently been wrapped up. The film is to discharge in half a month from now.
Meanwhile, he plays the saint inverse Lakshmi Menon in Yung Mung Chung and has additionally consented to play the rival in a film titled as Mercury which has Sanath Reddy (known for his parts in many short movies) appearing as legend in Kollywood. It creates the impression that Prabhu Deva has chosen to go the Aravind Swamy path by depicting a wide range of parts that he is advertised!
