Flexible performing artist-producer Vijay Sethupathi would be found in an old man’s get up indeed – after Orange Mittai and Vikram Vedha – yet this time as a 70-year old in his forthcoming film titled as Seethakaathi.
Seethakaathi unites again the effective mix of Vijay Sethupathi and director Balaji Tharaneetharan, who made the super hit film Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom in 2012. Vijay Sethupathi has developed significantly as an on-screen character and a star from that point forward while Tharaneetharan hasn’t had some other hitting the screens as his Oru Pakka Kathai stays stuck for some obscure reasons.
Balaji has taken the inconvenience of getting Hollywood make-up artistes – the Oscar grant winning du of Kevin Haney and Alex Noble – to give a mind blowing make-over to Vijay Sethupathi who barely looks like his common self in the get up of a bespectacled, veshti-clad old man with a harvest of hair as white as milk.
The primary look publication of the film delineates Vijay Sethupathi in the above get-up, sitting in a thoughtful state of mind in an out-dated seat with a book staring him in the face. Balaji and Vijay Sethupathi made a short visit to Los Angeles in December to finish the last’s appearance.
“It takes at least 3-4 hours for Vijay Sethupathi to put on this uncommon make-up,” Balaji advises. Veteran Archana, the national honor winning on-screen character, is combined inverse Vijay Sethupathi keeping in see the age of his on-screen character. Remya Nambeesan, Gayathrie and Parvathy Nair would make ‘visitor appearances’ in the movie which has directors Mouli and Mahendran and Bagavathi Perumal in noteworthy parts.
